THE GREAT AMERICAN WEST

Image
Today we worked with layers in photoshop. We watched a variety of videos that introduced basic photoshop design techniques. We combined images, worked with layers, and added different text over the photo. I had some trouble with Adobe and it not allowing me to save or add the stars and the logo. Overall it was pretty fun minus the troubles at the end. I wish I would've been able to add the stars and logo to pull it more together.

Photoshop Face Trace

Image
Today we used photoshop to trace our classmates faces. This is very new to me so I learned a lot. We used the pencil tool to trace out most of the face. Some parts were pretty difficult to do like the hair and the eyes but once I got the hang of it it wasn't too hard. Using the zoom command + helped a lot to get the intricate details in the face. I added some lines on the face around the eyes and on the shirt to try and make it more realistic. Overall I think it turned out pretty good surprisingly.

Pittsburgh Pirates Interview

The interview with the Creative Department of the Pittsburgh Pirates gives an inside look at the people behind the infamous Ads, logos, t-shirts, and many other things that broadcast and promote the Pittsburgh Pirates. This interview is very new to me because I've never really done a proper interview or thought about the Creative Departments for many things, especially when art comes to a sports team. Something that stood out to me was in the first part of the interview with the question "What made you want to work in Creative Department." Hearing that they joined this field with a basic love for art resinates with me. I have always enjoyed art and creating but never thought of transferring it to online creativity.       Something else I found interesting is the qualifications for getting a job in this field. I do not have much of an idea of what online graphic and creative design entails. Seeing how competitive this field is was very crazy to me....
